Award Nominated English Baritone, Thomas made his International Debut as Laquais in Don Quichotte at the Wexford International Opera Festival in 2019. Since graduation from the Royal Academy of Music in 2021 he has worked extensively throughout the UK and in Europe. He made his Royal Opera House concert debut as part of their Lunchtime recital series 2023.
2024 Started strongly with a New Years Messiah in a Sold out Usher Hall in Edinburgh, under the baton of Michael Bawtree. Thomas then recently returned to the Royal Opera House as Papageno in Mozarts’ Die Zauberflöte in their Outreach live stream. Thomas makes his House Debut at the Glyndebourne Festival as Curio in David McVicar’s Famous production of Handel’s Giulio Cesare. Thomas recently performed the title role in a concert performance of Mozart’s Don Giovanni with the BVA trust and Glyndebourne players in london. and house debut covering Schaunard in English National Opera’s La Boheme.
The 2025/2026 season promises to be equally exciting, following on from his Debut at Glyndebourne, Thomas returns to Curio and Giulio Cesare at Carnegie Hall with The English Consort in their 2025 US tour. A Festival debut as Sailing Master in Festival d’Aix-en.Provence’s New production of Billy Budd. After the summer Thomas will become a studio artist at Opera Nationa du Rhin in Strasbourg performing roles in Otello, Das Wunder der Helaine and Les Mamellesde Tirésais. Summer 2026 includes a house and national debut at the Palau de la Musica in Valencia as Don Giovanni, and a return to London’s Barbican in The Academy of Ancient Music’s production of Handel’s Serse.
Previous engagements included a return to Hurn Court Opera as Schaunard in Puccini’s La Bohème. Following this, Thomas marked his Role and House Debut as Silvio in West Greenhouse Opera’s summer production of I Pagliacci. He also played pivotal roles in other productions such as Figaro in Ulster Touring Opera’s new production of The Barber of Seville.
